Justice Magray inspects relief camp, judicial infrastructure

SRINAGAR, Sept 25: Justice Ali Mohammad Magray, Judge of Jammu and Kashmir High Court today directed the relief distributing agencies to ensure that the relief is distributed impartially to the genuine flood victims.
Justice Magray today inspected main relief camp at EDI Complex in Pampore, where entire relief is being dumped before disbursement. He directed relief distributing agencies to ensure transparent mechanism for relief distribution.
It may be mentioned here that there are allegations of relief being distributed on the basis of political affiliations in certain areas. Some officers took serious note of it and asked the politicians not to politicize the relief.
Earlier, Justice Magray visited district Pulwama and inspected flood affected courts of the district besides taking stock of the damage caused to judicial records and infrastructure. Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pulwama, Jawad Ahmad and senior officer of the district administration also accompanied him.
While visiting Munsif Court, temporarily established in EDI Complex, Pampore, Justice Magray directed authorities to take necessary measures for rebuilding damaged records. He also instructed civil administration for expediting dewatering from court complex Pampore besides carrying out renovation works of the complex on war footing.
Justice Magray appreciated the court staff for their timely efforts to save judicial records from damage due to floods.
