Bhantoo and the angry bird

Once upon a time in Kashi, there lived a mischievous boy named Bhantoo. One day, his uncle visited him and gifted him a catapult. Bhantoo jumped in joy and thanked his uncle. He took his catapult and went near a tree. There were many pigeons living in it. He aimed at the pigeons and started hitting them. A baby pigeon was hurt and started cooing in pain. The mother bird got angry and started biting Bhantoo who cried out in pain. The angry bird asked him, “Why did you hurt my baby?”

Bhantoo realised his mistake. He said, “I am sorry, pigeon. Please wait a minute.” He ran inside his house, got some medicine, and applied it on the wound. The baby pigeon recovered and started flying. On seeing this, the angry bird was happy. It gave Bhantoo a fruit and flew away.

From then on, Bhantoo stopped hurting animals and birds. He realised that if one did good things to others, one would have good things done to them.
