The 23-year-old student bagged the amazing €10,000 grand prize and her winning mother and child outfits will be manufactured and sold in selected Dunnes Stores nationwide.
Judges Peter O'Brien and Carolyn Donnelly were impressed with the Amie's finishing and attention to detail of her outfit.
Carolyn Donnelly from Dunnes Stores said: "It is always a difficult decision choosing a winner and this year was no exception. However, the fact that the winning design must fit the brief of being washable and easily manufactured helped narrow the choice down for us.
"Amie Egan adhered to Persil’s brief really well - and we just knew that the oversized parka coat with its fabulous knitted trim detail and the child's cool sweatshirt with great embroidered motif were perfect. The easy washing fabrics, wearability and distinct design, made it really commercial”.
