MOTIHARI: The investigation in a case of supply of expired medicines to Primary Health Centre (PHC), Chhoradano, in East Champaran district continues and on Tuesday again vaccines and medicines were recovered in huge quantity from the store of PHC, Ramgarhwa.
Besides, bundles of expired medicines were also recovered from the field of PHC. The storekeeper of the PHC fled from the hospital at the time of raid conducted by drug inspector.
Two drug inspectors -- Vijay Kumar and Amit Kumar -- on Tuesday made surprise check of store of PHC of Ramgarhwa and recovered huge stock of expired vaccines and medicines. They also seized bundles of expired medicines including vaccines of Japanies Encephalitis lying on the back side of hospital thrown by the staff at the time of inspection. All the medicines were sealed by the drug inspectors and the same was informed to the civil surgeon for proper inquiry and action.
It may be noted that DM Abhay Kumar Singh has ordered a probe into the supply of expired medicines worth Rs 10 lakh to PHC, Chhoradano on Monday.
