ITANAGAR: With battlelines drawn for the October 15 bypoll to Kanubari seat in the troubled Longding district of Aunachal Pradesh, BJP’s Arunachal Pradesh unit president Tai Tagak has exhorted the people of the constituency to remain vigilant on Congress misrule in the state and give the party a tough fight.
Kickstarting the election campaign for party nominee Rongnai Maham at Kanubari on Monday, Tagak claimed that the party would soon take the reigns of the state and added that it was closely watching the functioning of the state government and no injustice and corruption would be tolerated, party spokesman Techi Necha said here on Tuesday.

Appealing to the people to take a wise decision and elect the party’s candidate, Tagak asked them to be sensible and vote for BJP so that it could work for the overall development of the district fulfilling its commitment.
Focusing on ‘nayee soch nayee umeed’ and ‘sabka saath sabka vikas’, Tagak called for ‘peace’ and ‘good governance’ and added that the party was trying to reach out to the people of Tirap, Changlang and Londing districts, which, he said, were deprived of development during the Congress regime.
“There is abundance of natural resources in this part of the state which can be harnessed and will generate employment opportunities for the youths of the districts. The innocent people here are hoodwinked and victimized by corrupt Congress in the name of vote bank politics,” he alleged.
Tagak was accompanied by party MLAs Tesam Pongte and Laisam Simai, former minister Samchum Ngemu, general secretary Dominic Tadar and state mohila morcha president Padmeswari Jamoh.
Necha termed the criticisms of Chinese President’s recent visit to the country by various political parties as baseless.
