Independent advisory firms ISS and PIRC recommend shareholders vote against all
Sherborne's resolutions

24 September 2014: Electra Private Equity PLC ("Electra") notes that
independent proxy advisory firms Institutional Shareholder Services Inc.
("ISS") and Pensions & Investment Research Consultants Ltd ("PIRC") have
recommended that Electra shareholders vote against all the resolutions proposed
on behalf of Sherborne Investors Management (Guernsey) LLC and its associates,
to be voted on at Electra's general meeting on 6 October 2014 ("General
Meeting").

The Board of Directors of Electra unanimously recommends that all shareholders
VOTE AGAINST ALL the General Meeting resolutions.
