CBS anchor’s obsessed stalker sent to psych ward

An obsessed fan of gorgeous CBS newscaster Diane Macedo pleaded guilty to stalking Tuesday as part of a plea deal that will land him in a psychiatric facility for 90 days.

Richard Pagani, 30, of Brooklyn admitted he bombarded the brunette with crude letters and messages on social media sites for two years.

Then on April 14, he tried to approach Macedo in Far Rockaway, Queens while she was in news van covering a cop’s funeral.

“Do you admit when you saw her sitting inside the news van you approached the van, knocked on the window and offered her and her colleague an apple and when she refused to acknowledge your presence you slammed the apple into the hood?” asked Justice Lisa Sokoloff Tuesdayin Manhattan Criminal Court.

“Yes,” he replied sheepishly.

Prosecutors agreed to reduce the top charge from felony attempted burglary to misdemeanor stalking if he completes three months of treatment at Coney Island Hospital and stays out of trouble for one year.

Sokoloff also issued a full order of protection barring Pagani from having any contact with Macedo.
