Minister’s ‘janata darshan’ from Oct. 1

The first programme would be conducted at Belthangady on October 1. Thereafter it would be conducted in every taluk headquarters on subsequent Wednesdays.

Minister in-charge of Dakshina Kannada B. Ramanath Rai will conduct ‘janata darshan’ programmes to address grievances of people in taluk headquarters starting from October 1.

The first programme would be conducted at Belthangady on October 1. Thereafter it would be conducted in every taluk headquarters on subsequent Wednesdays.

At a meeting here on Monday he said that the complaints received would be addressed on the spot itself. If not, it should be addressed within the day of the next meeting. He said that after completing one round of ‘janata darshan’ it would be repeated in the taluk headquarters after three months.

Mr. Rai said he had plans to conduct Karnataka Development Programme Review Committee meetings in taluk headquarters later.

He said the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners of the respective sub-division, chief executive officers of zilla panchayats, and others would participate in the ‘janata darshan’.
