Winston Churchill’s artist granddaughter sues gallery

Winston Churchill’s granddaughter, artist Edwina Sandys, is suing a gallery owner and art curator for ruining her sculptures worth $150,000.

Kate Shin had hosted a private reception for Sandys’ work at her $39 million Waterfall Mansion at 170 E. 80th St. last October.

The exhibit was arranged by designer Inson Wood.

But when Wood arranged to have the three Italian marble pieces “Pisces Blue Wave 1990”; “Pisces Fat Lady 1990” and “Cupid Fish 1990” returned to Sandys they were “irreparably and totally destroyed,” according to the Manhattan suit and the artist.

“It’s a pity that something so lovely has turned into something so difficult,” the great statesman’s descendant told The Post.

She wants $190,000 for the 3-foot-high works that she’ll have to recreate scratch.

Shin told The Post that she never actually met Sandys and the show was arranged by the curator, Wood.

She blames his moving company for breaking the delicate marble statues.

Wood did not return a message.

Shin has transformed her UES mansion into a modern dream home complete with a 23-foot-high waterfall cascading down a stone wall, a 1,000-bottle wine cellar and a professional gallery space.
