Teacher molests class XI student, arrested

Teacher of a reputed private school in Farrukhabad district was arrested by Kamalganj police for allegedly molesting a girl student. An FIR was lodged against the teacher, Asharam by parents of the victim. Police have arrested the accused.
On Monday, while the class was in progress, the teacher allegedly touched the girl inappropriately. The girl, student of class IX and a resident of Subhash Nagar locality, told her mother about the incident who further informed other locals.Parents of the girl, along with several others, protested outside the police station demanding action against the accused teacher.
Girl’s father said, “on Monday afternoon, my daughter came home weeping. She told me how her Science teacher had called her and touched her inappropriately.”
The parents further alleged that the principal was informed of the incident, but did not take any action.
Angry parents, nabbed the teacher and thrashed the accused teacher before informing the Kamalganj police. Cops rescued the teacher and registered a case of molestation under other sections of the POCSO Act. The accused was sent to jail.
