Salman Khan's "Bigg Boss 8" day 1 wasn't as eventful as expected. Waking up to "Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum", the contestants spent most of their time bonding, laughing and cracking jokes.

While Arya Babbar, who clearly is trying to be a crowd-pleaser, and Praneet Singh sat by the aircraft speculating about the Secret Society (SS), Upen Patel and Sukirti Kandpal warmed up to each other. Is this the beginning of another whirlwind romance? Only time will tell.

Bringing in a major twist, SS withheld baggage of six inmates, and to get them back, contestants had to dress up as supernatural beings and answer a few questions – Who is the most negative person in the house? Who is the most not-so intelligent inmate? Clearly, the members of SS are trying their best to bring the contestants out of their comfort zone.

Interestingly, Patel, who was asked to rate the girls on their hotness quotient, put Serbian beauty Natasha Stankovic on top and Diandra Soares last. Since, Soares and the "36 China Town" actor share great friendship from their modeling days, Patel said he knew he would get away with it.

Concluding the session, one of members of SS announced that their answers will be reviewed, after which the luggage will be returned. Those failing to answer truthfully will not receive their luggage, SS added.

While Karishma Tanna, Patel, Minnisha Lamba and Sushant Divgikar had their luggage with them post the question-answer session, Soares and Singh were miffed for not having been given their stuff back. Calling SS dumb, Soares said she would roam around in a bikini if she doesn't receive her luggage.

The second task was a test of sleep. It was announced that withheld luggage will be returned if two contestants stay awake through the night, failing which the entire bunch will have to let go of their nap time. Patel and Gautam Gulati were nominated as the nighttime soldiers.
