Nurse died 72 hours before body was found

A day after a nurse, Nirmala Devi, was found dead inside LNJP Hospital staff quarters, the police have confirmed that she died on the intervening night of September 17 and 18.

Death due to asphyxiation

According to the police, the post-mortem report has confirmed that the woman died almost 72 hours before her body was found. As for the cause of death, the officer said it is due to asphyxiation.

“We have found some important leads in the case and will make an arrest soon,” said DCP (Central) Alok Verma.
