Celebrities and chefs got together on the grassy quad at UCLA on Saturday to fight childhood cancer at one of the city’s top food-meets-fundraising events, L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade.

More than $200,000 was raised from an auction with items including foodie-oriented trips to Sonoma and New York and dinners cooked by prominent chefs.

Ty Burell, Laura Dern, Timothy Olyphant, Joe Mantegna, Sean Hayes and Bailee Madison, the youth spokesperson for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, were among the actors turning out to taste and support the organization that was launched when a 4-year old cancer patient decided to hold lemonade stands to raise money to fight the disease. Five contestants from “Masterchef Junior” were also there to work with celebrity chefs, while young actors like “Modern Family’s” Nolan Gould and the “Parenthood” brood helped serve lemonade.

Enthusiastic eaters including Jimmy Kimmel and Phil Rosenthal chatted with their favorite chefs, while Hayes tried assembling a few dishes for the cameras. Roy Choi, the L.A. food truck magnate who’s about to launch a new show, “Street Food” on CNN, Trois Mec’s Ludo Lefebvre and TV chef Giada de Laurentiis were among the dozens of high-profile chefs from Los Angeles and around the country offering gourmet tastes along with hosts Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne of Lucques, AOC and Tavern and David Lentz of Hungry Cat.
