Bishop of Oxford's pilgrimage marks end of 'journey'

The Bishop of Oxford, the Right Reverend John Pritchard, is undertaking a ten-day walk along the Thames Path before he leaves the role.

The 100-mile route will take him through Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.

Bishop John said he will walk "at three miles an hour, it is the speed of the love of God, it is not rushing".

A core of 12 pilgrims will accompany him on the journey to mark his retirement from the diocese.
