Meet organised by Health dept to discuss control of communicable diseases

Apart from BBMP areas, the districts of Bangalore urban, Bellary, Chitradurga, Dakshina Kannada, Davangere, Haveri, Mysore and Udupi have been identified as high risk areas for spread of dengue in the state.

At a meeting organised by the State Health Department to discuss rapid action for control of dengue, chickungunya and other communicable diseases in the state, Health Minister U.T. Khader sought the help of private doctors and NGOs in containing the spread.

More than 70 representatives from private hospitals, medical colleges and nursing colleges are attending the meeting.
