She is beautiful, ambitious and business minded. Starting out as a model she rose to fame as ‘The Lotto Girl’ during the Top Lotto days, but this days Khethiwe Alexander is all about business and branding herself.

She recently moved back to the country after staying in South Africa where she not only studies Marketing and Public Relations but also set up her own online shopping. “My love for the finer things in life at an affordable rate meant that I would be online shopping a lot, at times just browsing through. So when I fell in love with the branded linen ranges I decided to start selling them to other people too,” she says.

Khethiwe is talking about her Linen Range consisting of Gucci, Versace and Chanel replicas. These sell for E3 000 upwards depending on size etc.
“My biggest market is still in South Africa and I realised that just like me people do not mind replicas because honestly some of us are not into walking around in a E30 000 Hermes bag, I mean for what!! That to me is too much, I am not saying it’s wrong for those who have that cash to spend but I have always been cautious about how I spend my money,” she says.

Back in South Africa, her business and events management company which she co-owns, Kiwi Communications is still thriving. They host parties and other corporate events, “I still remember my best event which was Indique Hair. This is when we launched USA-based Indique Hair in Rosebank, Johannesburg, They deal with 100 per cent Brazilian and Peruvian hair . It was a great success and I really saw then how we had grown as a company,” she adds. Now that she is back, she is also eager to get her business going this side too, and having it registered soon as possible, for now she has sunk her teeth into the relaunch of Just Come Dancing.

“I am ready for ‘The Just Come Dancing’ challenge and for now we are all about making sure the show is a success. I am always up for a challenge so being asked to organise it was something I took as a vote of confidence in my abilities as an events coordinator,” she says.
She also clarifies that she owes all of what has happened in her life as far as business is concerned to Top Lotto. “That is one brilliant idea that put me out there and I learnt about business at a young age. I will forever be grateful,” she adds.

As she juggles her SA events management job and Just Come dancing she is quick to add that she is always eager to do more. “I live for work and I literally work from my laptop wherever I am . I believe every woman should work and have that career that puts her smile on her face, in this day and age we can’t depend on looking at one source of income. One must be a brand and know that you are capable of doing so much more and go out and do it,” she smiles.
We will definitely be seeing a lot of Miss Alexander as she makes her mark in Swaziland.
