PM Narendra Modi govt divides labourer community

A protest march will be held in New Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram and the district headquarters on December 5

Kottayam: The Narendra Modi government is dividing the workers of the country by propagating communalism, said CITU national president A.K. Padmanabhan. He was inaugurating the state general council meeting of the CITU at the CSI retreat centre here on Saturday. “The Modi government is not able to curb the communal and sectarian activities by the elected representatives of his party in his own state of Gujarat,” he alleged. “It is being controlled by the RSS which has come to the front from behind the curtain,” he added.

Earlier, CITU state committee president Anathalavattam Anandam hoisted the flag and state general secretary Elamaran Kareem presented the working report. CITU state secretary K. Chandran Pillai told reporters the entire trade unions in the country were coming under a joint platform and agitating against the labour laws of the central government. Conventions will be held at district headquarters as part of the joint agitation. A protest march will be held in New Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram and the district headquarters on December 5.
