Dartford 1-2 Forest Green Rovers

Lee Hughes' fourth goal of the season gave Forest Green Rovers victory over struggling Dartford.

The Darts were denied twice by the woodwork in a goalless first half before Marcus Kelly opened the scoring for the visitors.

Kelly's strike from the edge of the box was added to when Sam Wedgbury's shot deflected past home keeper Jason Brown off Hughes 13 minutes later.

Max Cornhill pulled one back for the hosts in added time.

The win moved Forest Green into the Conference top 10 while Dartford drop into the bottom six.

Forest Green Rovers boss Ady Pennock told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:

"I thought the first half was the worst we've been, so I told them at half-time that wasn't acceptable. If it wasn't for Sam (Russell) I think we would have been two or three down. We were awful.

"We've played better and lost, even at Eastleigh we played better than that and drew, but I'll take the three points all day long.

"Lee Hughes looked really bright when he came on. He looked back like he was last year and he livened us up a little bit.

"We played the game out well and maybe could have had a couple more, but I was pleased with the second half."
