The delayed iPhone launch in China has enticed the chancers to make money by sneaking in the newly launched iPhones. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has no far not given a nod to apple to sell the iPhone 6 in China.

Leveraging the opportunity, opportunists in countries including Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia are buying a stock of new iPhones for resale in China.

Arguably a Hong Kong businessman, who requested anonymity, had bought as many as 25 handsets of the new iPhone from Tokyo and was planning to resell them in China's grey market. Another Chinese man paid local Japanese citizens in Tokyo at an Apple store to purchase iPhones on his behalf.

The situation is no different in Singapore than Hong Kong; allegedly, dealers in Singapore are offering an iPhone for getting the work done. A teenager who was buying an iPhone on a dealer's behalf noted "Our boss is paying us about $120 USD per job. We are all buying two - one maybe for ourselves, the other to sell."

Though China has approved the usage of new iPhone in the domestic frequencies but the special license is still pending which will allow Apple to start off with the sales.
