The ministry also confirmed that more than 25 Taliban militants were wounded and 4 others were taken into custody in the same operations while dozens of roadside bombs placed by Taliban were defused in different regions.

The operations were carried out in Kabul, Kunduz, Nangarhar, Baghlan, Zabul, Uruzgan, Wardak, Khost and Helmand provinces.

Meanwhile, Taliban claimed that its fighters killed 12 security forces in clashes in Logar, a key province near the capital Kabul.
