Four pastors ordained at Holy Trinity Church

Holy ordination of pastors and commissioning of students who have completed Theological Studies was held at the Holy Trinity Church of the Tamil Evangelical Lutheran Church here on Friday.

Rt.Rev.S.Edwin Jayakumar, Bishop of Tranquebar, conducted the holy ordination and commissioning rituals. Candidates P. Vincent, F. Mary Alagusundari, R.Hans Martin Chock, and J.Andrew Alex were ordained as pastors . B.D.David Leo Doss, A.Charles Edwin Doss, D.Rajeshkumar and S.Alwin Santhaseela were commissioned as candidates for Ministry.

Order of Service was conducted by senior pastorates. E.D.Charles, secretary, read out the church council order to commission the candidates who had completed the theological study in Chennai, Madurai, and Bangalore. It was followed by a similar procedure for ordination.

Holy lyrics, prayer and verses from the Bible were read out. Community service by senior pastors marked the conclusion of the ceremony.

Earlier in the day, the Bishop was accorded a reception, as it was his first visit to the city after having been consecrated at Tranquebar last month.
