Munnariyippu selected for Mumbai film festival

Here comes a proud moment for Malayalam film industry. We hear that Mammootty starrer Munnariyippu which won rave reviews at home has been selected to screen at the upcoming 16th edition of Mumbai film festival. Dr. Biju’s Perariyathavar and Sajin Babu’s Unto the dusk are the other two movies selected for the prestigious movie festival.
Three Malayalam movies will be showcased at the Indian Gold section of the festival, which commences on October 14- 21^st. Munnariyippu directed by Venu, revolves around the story of ex- convict C K Raghavan and an ambitious journalist Aparna Gopinath, whereas National Award winning movie Perariyathavar dealt with the marginalised section of society.
