(Reuters) DAMMAM: ARAB NEWS A 44-page search result by the search engine Google has revealed 4.2 million links, and counting, of Arabic websites, newspapers, and social networking sites in reference to terrorist organization IS. The name of the organization appears within general information websites, news reports, political reports, and international Arabic and Gulf reports, as well as websites concerning local Saudi affairs. A hashtag search of IS resulted in 704,000 results. The number of video clips also has escalated within a short period as videos are considered a primary means by IS to spread its message. More than 47 million clips appear on YouTube and other sites involving scenes of killings by the organization. A search for the organization's phrase Baqiya also produced extensive hits, and more than 135,000 hashtag results. The results demonstrate the insistence of leaders of the organization to use the phrase repetitively as a symbol of their desire to ensure the "survival and continuation of the Islamic State." While many Net users are unaware of its meanings, it is widely popular among those who sympathize with and belong to the organization. Meanwhile, the term Daa'ishiyoon produced 119,000 hits in a search, mostly on websites and in reports related to the organization. The title is mostly used in a context that criticizes or ridicules members of IS for complying with an ideology and belief that is contrary to the princes of Islam and Shariah. The title Daa'ishiyoon also has come to apply to individuals who "act in a manner that is brutal and contrary to logic, reason and humanity." The name of the organization itself, Islamic State, also has a wide audience across the Internet, with more than 1.51 million search results. The hashtag search of the organization's name produced 60.8 thousand results, while the name appears in pictures, links, videos, commentaries, account names, news, and a variety of other Internet destinations.
