A PhD student in Noida's Amity University student has alleged she was heckled on campus by an outsider last Thursday.

NOIDA: A PhD student in Noida's Amity University student has alleged she was heckled on campus by an outsider last Thursday. Police said the man, who lives in the same Delhi locality as the girl, had also threatened to pour acid on her face.
The man allegedly sneaked into the campus and posed as a student. He was nabbed by the college's security guards and handed over to the police.
An FIR was filed against him at Sector 39 police station. The university and the police are yet to establish how he entered the campus.
Savita Mehta, vice-president (communications), Amity University, said, "I guess he introduced himself as a guest to get access to the university. He entered the classroom, sat on a bench and posed as a student before misbehaving with the girl. Our security promptly reacted and nabbed him. During questioning, it was found that he was neither a Amity student nor associated with our university. We handed him over to the cops. Amity university has formed a five-member committee to investigate the case."
Deputy superintendent of police Shivram Yadav said, "The incident took place in Amity University on Thursday. The girl, who lives in Model Town in Delhi, was in class. The accused, identified as Pawan, reportedly entered the classroom and assaulted the victim."
Yadav said the arrested man was also a resident of Model Town. "He also threatened the victim that he would pour acid on her face if she ignored him," Yadav said. adding the police had recorded the girl's statement.
