Girl thrashes eve-teaser

Varanasi: A girl at Lahurabir crossing on Friday thrashed an eve-teaser in public view.
According to reports, the girl, a student of a college, was returning home, when a youth living in her neighbourhood tried to hold the girl’s hand. Irked by his behaviour, the girl started beating him on the road. The local native also joined and thrashed the youth.
The policemen on picket duty reached there and caught the youth. But on the request of the girl, the police freed the youth.
Drowned: A 35-year-old man Babloo Yadav, A native of Maduadih area, drowned in a pond at Nakain village in Rohania on Friday. His body could not be fished.
