Amy Adams is featured as artist Margaret Keane in the trailer for the upcoming Tim Burton directed drama "Big Eyes." The film is based on the true story of Margaret Keane (Amy Adams), a painter who created portraits of big-eyed young girls.
Her husband Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz) took credit for the pictures because he didn't believe that people would buy art created by a woman. Eventually, it was revealed that his wife, Margaret, was the hand behind the brush.
"'Big Eyes' centers on Margaret's awakening as an artist, the phenomenal success of her paintings, and her tumultuous relationship with her husband, who was catapulted to international fame while taking credit for her work," according to the film's synopsis.
The trailer features a blond-haired Adams working on a canvas.
"Big Eyes" also stars Danny Huston, Krysten Ritter, Jason Schwartzman and Terence Stamp.
"Big Eyes" hits theaters December 25.
