KPSC 2011 batch controversy-interim order extended till October 13

The Karnataka Administrative Tribunal (KAT) has extended the interim order of status quo till October 13 asking the State not to undertake a fresh selection process to fill up the 362 posts of Gazetted Probationers owing to cancellation of the select list of 2011 batch.

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Administrative Tribunal (KAT) has extended the interim order of status quo till October 13 asking the State not to undertake a fresh selection process to fill up the 362 posts of Gazetted Probationers owing to cancellation of the select list of 2011 batch.
This was after the state government sought time to file objections in response to applications filed by Devaraj and others, all selected candidates.

It may be recalled that on August 27, the KAT had passed an interim order restraining the state government from undertaking an fresh selection process.
"We are of the view that status quo will have to be maintained in relation to the posts to which the applicants are already selected by the KPSC. The Government should not initiate any fresh selection process in relation to the posts to which the KPSC had selected candidates as per the final list published on March 21, 2014" a KAT bench comprising acting Chairperson Abhijit Dasgupta and judicial member Moosa Kunhi Nayarmoole had observed in their interim order after hearing the counsel for applicants and the submission made by Advocate General Prof Ravivarma Kumar.
