Austrian extreme cyclist Jacob Zurl completed a monster ride across the Himalayas in less than two days and now hopes to have his time entered into the Guiness Book of World Records. Zurl is reportedly the first man to complete the 517 kilometres between Manali and the Khardung Pass at the Himalayan mountain range in less than 48 hours. The 26-year-old Zurl cycled through some of the highest passes in the world, which peaked at an altitude of 5,359 metres. According to Zurl, around half the route consisted of loose gravel. He hopes to have his time of 38 hours 40 minutes confirmed as a world record.
