Building your own little world ; DISNEY INFINITY 2.0: MARVEL SUPER HEROES [Mirror (UK)]

(Mirror (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3 Pounds 59 with three figures **** Disney's answer to Skylanders comes complete with a three-pack set of Disney character toys and players are able to transfer their figures into the world of Infinity, giving younger gamers a tangible link to the video game.

As with the first Infinity title, 2.0 offers up a mixture of pre- set levels and a Minecraft-like build mode within which you can create your own adventures. Later, you'll be able to buy characters from the Spider-Man comics and Guardians Of The Galaxy, but perhaps the biggest change is the addition of branching skill trees allowing you to customise your figure's powers and have that build saved to the figurine. Take your and you could both have very different versions of the character to play with.

As you adventure through the game you'll collect more pieces to flesh out your own level creations. It's frustrating, however, that all the pieces aren't unlocked by default, initially limiting your creativity. And it's still disappointing to run into a locked area in the game knowing that it won't be accessible until you buy another (pricey) Infinity-compatible figurine.

Although it's a potentially expensive hobby - individual real- world figurines which unlock new features and characters in the game still cost Pounds 12-Pounds 15 each, and there are dozens of them to collect - this world-building digital playset is a colourful and creative way to enjoy a gaming session with a little one.
