Itanagar: Capital Complex Police on Tuesday arrested three more miscreants for kidnapping and murdering K P Chacko, a businessman from Naharlagun who ran a chain of Best Bakery outlets in the capital.
In an early morning operation, a police team laid an ambush in the Hollongi area and arrested the three after an encounter, capital SP Seiju P Kuruvilla said in a statement here on Thursday.

Based on inputs, a team lead by Naharlagun SDPO Jumar Basar intercepted the trio at Hollongi. During the operation, the miscreants fired at the police and police retaliated. All three accused sustained bullet injuries and have been admitted to R K Mission Hospital here, the statement added.
Police recovered a pistol, 4 rounds of ammunition, an empty cartridge, a stolen motorcycle, 6 mobiles and 9 SIM cards from the arrested miscreants.
The arrested criminals have been identified as Daya (21), alias Gunda Basumatary, from Baligaon village under Gogamukh in Assam’s Dhemaji district, Bikram Boro (18), who hails from Dhorompur village in Assam’s Gohpur, and 22-year-old Dora Sanjay, alias Dora Tadu, from P-Sector, Itanagar. With the arrest of the three miscreants, a total of seven people have been arrested in the case.
Chacko was kidnapped from his residence on August 28 and his decomposed body was recovered from a jungle near Doimukh on September 6.
