James Fraser leaves Lothian Chambers polling station having just voted in central Edinburgh on Sept. 18, 2014, in Edinburgh, Scotland.

About 4.2 million Scots are expected to vote on Scotland's independence Thursday and polls show a very tight race.

In a visit to Scotland earlier this week, British Prime Minister David Cameron reminded voters "Independence would not be a trial separation. It would be a painful divorce."

And with any divorce, some things will need some sorting out, like borders, the British Open and the 2012 Olympic team.

But there are a few obviously English or obviously Scottish things that will be easy to divvy up in a split.
