Amber Sky to launch annual Russia & CIS inflight event in 2015

Amber Sky 2015—a new travel-retail event focusing on the Russian, CIS and Eastern Europe inflight travel-retail industry—will make its debut next year from February 16-20 at the Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija.The event, which will take place annually from next year, will gather Russian, CIS and Eastern Europe airlines, as well leading European airline suppliers, brand managers and distributors to highlight the development of travel-retail sales and service throughout cabin crew service and include sales trainings, conferences, workshops, Trade Show and entertainment activities.The conference will concentrate on the Russian, CIS and Eastern Europe travel region, covering topics on region market trends and product integration, as well as service and technology development, European practices and sales incentive programmes. The Amber Sky Trade Show will be held for two days as part of the event, and offer suppliers the chance to showcase their products and attract potential buyers, stated event organisers. Amber Sky’s organisers will provide each participant with a meeting schedule of 30 minutes slots “in which airline managers and suppliers will discuss the mutual connection in terms of potential cooperation in the field of inflight sales”. “Amber Sky covers 13 culturally and economically diverse countries, therefore, suppliers will have an excellent opportunity to instantly learn about the perception and behaviour of different regions towards their products, thus applying the necessary improvements for their business to run smoother and support better sales,” stated the event organisers. The event will also include cabin-crew training and contests focused on sales and service development. These will be carried out using products provided by the suppliers, which will have the opportunity to receive instant feedback on their products.Cabin-crew will be instructed by professional trainers evaluating their teams during a three-day intensive, yet fun training process. Awards for the best-selling cabin crew teams will be announced during the gala dinner in 12 nomination categories. Social and networking activities planned for the event include a Poker Tournament, Karaoke evening and cabin-crew uniform fashion show.The Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija is the biggest conference complex in the Baltics and will serve as the place of accommodation for participants.
