Five more people have been arrested and bailed over street brawls before and after the Watford v Bolton Wanderers football match on 9 August.

The main fight was in Market Street, Watford, at about 14:45 BST and involved up to 30 people, police said.

Five men from Bolton were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of violent disorder.

Last month six people from the Watford area were arrested and bailed in connection with the incident.

The latest detainees are all men aged between 21 and 48.

Investigation continues

Hertfordshire Police said the investigation was ongoing and it expected further arrests to be made.

Supt Sue Jameson said: "These arrests send a clear message to those who may be tempted to get involved in football related violence that is this behaviour is unacceptable."

Police have appealed for witnesses and people with information about the disorder to contact them.
