Johannesburg – Bafana Bafana moved up two spots to 67th in the latest world rankings released by Fifa on Thursday.

The South Africans remain 14th in the African standings, unchanged since the last rounds of rankings were released on August 14.

Bafana thrashed Sudan 3-0 in their opening 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier in Khartoum on September 5, before holding defending Afcon champions, Nigeria, to a goalless draw on September 10.

Next month, Bafana face Congo-Brazzaville twice in five days, home and away, as the Afcon qualifiers enter their third and fourth rounds. – Sapa
