NEW DELHI: Two employees of a toll booth in outer Delhi's Narela area were shot at and injured by a gang of four men on two motorbikes who apparently came from Haryana. Police said that it appears to be brawl sparked by personal rivalry.
The incident was reported from Harewali border around 8pm when Manjeet, an employee of the toll booth, was at work.
The four men from a nearby village came on two motorcycles and stopped in front of the booth. They asked Manjeet to get out of the booth. As soon as he stepped out, the men fired at him but he escaped by jumping into a canal beside the booth. The bullet instead hit Monu, who was inside the booth. The men kept firing a few more rounds. A man identified as Sunil was hit on the chest. By this time, police had arrived. Hearing the cops, the men fled from the spot. Sunil is stated to be critical.
