An investigation is underway after an 11-year-old Worcester girl said a man and woman tried to lure her into a pickup truck after getting off a school bus.The girl's mother told police that around 2:45 p.m. Thursday her daughter was walking on Ward Street after getting off the bus when the man told her that he was there as a favor for her mother and to get in the truck.The man said the mother's name, but he had the wrong name, according to police, and the girl refused to get inside.While the conversation was taking place an unidentified woman intervened and told the girl not to get in, police said.The girl and her mother also told police that the man and woman were seen in the truck near the bus stop two times prior to the incident.The man was described as being Spanish with a thin build with a medium complexion, and dark unkempt hair and a beard. He was described as having bad teeth and was wearing a dirty sleeveless shirt.The woman was only described as attractive with bad teeth.The truck was described as gray or black with two doors and a rear seat, and was in rough condition with damage to the rear of the vehicle.Both the man and woman stayed inside the truck while the conversation with the girl was taking place, police said.Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Worcester Police Department Detective Bureau at 508-799-8651.
