Three killed as car hits culvert

Three people died when the car they were travelling in hit a culvert on the NH-44 in Anantapur district on Wednesday morning.

Police said that the driver of the carhit a culvert near a flyover near Gollapalli village of Raptadu mandal, just 20 kms away from Anantapur, at around 6.30 a.m, killing two people on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Muthyala Sri Harsha (32), a software engineer from Chevella village of Rayavaram mandal in East Godavari district working in Hyderabad and M.L. Kameswara Rao, a lawyer from Meerpet in Hyderabad working in the High Court.

Another person on board Parikshit Raghavan (35), said to be the Managing Director of an NGO Ayushman Bhava in Hyderabad, died while being treated at Anantapur government general hospital. The trio were said to have started their journey from Hyderabad on Tuesday night and was on their way to Puttaparthy.
