Cochrane RCMP is looking for two men in connection with the theft of a large amount of tires from a retail location in the community west of Calgary.

Police say that at about 4:30 a.m. on September 14, two men driving a large white cube van broke into the Cochrane Canadian Tire.

The men then stole 195 tires, consisting of various brands such as Hankook, Motormaster (Motomaster), and Michelin. Most are winter tires.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1

  • Caucasian
  • 40 to 50 years old
  • Slender, tall build
  • Short, dark hair, possibly starting to grey on the sides

Suspect #2

  • Caucasian
  • 40 to 50 years old
  • Heavy set, tall build
  • Very short hair

The police are asking the public to report any suspicious activity that includes people attempting to sell these types of tires.
