RBA's lowest rate enough to send Aussie dollar higher

TOKYO -- The Australian dollar has remained strong against the yen, due largely to the Japanese currency's plunge against the U.S. dollar. Speculation that Australia's interest rates will remain higher than those of other industrial economies is also supporting the currency's rise.

     The Aussie lost some ground against the yen last week, but that does not seem to have changed the overall trend.
