Two Congress MLAs, Deputy leader of Congress party in Gujarat assembly Mohansinh Rathwa and Naswadi MLA Dhirubhai Bhil are attending a function at Mahatma Mandir today in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Anandiben Patel. The function which has been titled as ‘Swawlamban abhiyan’ is about launching of 11 welfare schemes of Gujarat government. Congress leaders generally don’t attend Gujarat government functions, and therefore Rathwa and Bhil’s presence has been an eye-catching affair. However when asked about this, Congress leader clarified that it is Prime Minister’s event where some schemes for tribal welfare are to be launched. There’s no need to take party’s permission to attend the function.
