• Overnight summary: At the Tokyo Open, fifth seed Sara Errani lost to Marina Erakovic 6-4, 6-1 and Hong Kong champion Sabine Lisicki was ousted by Casey Dellacqua. No. 25 Victoria Azarenka defeated KimikoDate-Krumm in three sets to set up a big second round match against No. 10 Ana Ivanovic. Only one seed, No. 22 Alize Cornet, remains after two days at the Guangzhou International after five seeds lost on Tuesday, including top seed Sam Stosur and No. 3 seed Sloane Stephens. Stosur lost to No. 251 Chinese wildcard Wang Yafan 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 and Stephens lost to No. Silvia Soler-Espinosa 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. At the Korea Open, AgnieszkaRadwanska kicked off her campaign with a straight-set win over PolonaHercog.
