A day after Governor E. S. L. Narasimhan met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javdekar in New Delhi, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday night called on the former at Raj Bhavan. Accompanied by the State Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy and MP B.Vinod Kumar, the Chief Minister was closeted with the Governor for almost 90 minutes. TRS sources tried to play down the meeting terming it as a courtesy call.
But, it is understood that the meeting assumes significance in wake of reports that the Central Ministers were briefed about the recent controversial statement made by the Chief Minister in Warangal against the media. Centre had also taken a serious view of the remarks and the blackout of two TV channels by the MSO’s.
The Chief Minister is said to have discussed about the Budget session of the Assembly, which in normal course should have been convened by now.
But, indications available suggest that the Chief Minister has hinted that the session may convened sometime in November as the Government has time till December 2, to get the budget passed. Mr. Rao is also understood to have discussed the outcome of Medak bye-election, where the party candidate won with thumping majority.
He also briefed him about the 100 days of the TRS Government and the proposed initiates to be put in place in the coming days.
