Adaa Khan is set to sway to some retro music with her co-actor Alaan Kapoor in the upcoming episode of the show Piya Basanti Re. Adaa, who was last seen portraying a negative role in a show, is enacting a positive and non-glamorous role here (she plays a maid).
Says the actress, “I am so thankful to God for this role. You don’t get to play the protagonist so easily on TV.” In the upcoming episode, Adaa and Alaan will enact a dance sequence for his parents’ 25th wedding anniversary party.
“My character Pia choreographs the entire sequence and when Kabir’s (Alaan) friend, who is supposed to dance with him does not turn up, she herself dances with him,” says Adaa adding, “The dance sequence is inspired from Dev Anand-Mumtaz look of the 70s, and Rishi Kapoor-Sridevi look of the 80s. And finally, we don the look of Kabir’s parents Mr and Mrs Shah at the end. It was great fun dancing to those hit songs and looking like those veteran heroines.”
