Diya Aur Baati-fame Rohit Raj Goyal to direct Rajan Shahi’s show

TV’s ace director will helm affairs at one-of-the-most-sought-after producers Rajan Shahi’s next on Star Plus.
Director Rohit Raj Goyal needs no introduction. The able director took TV show Diya Aur Baati Hum to new heights as it ruled the TRP charts for the longest time. However, he quit the show to helm another show by the same producers — Shashi and Sumeet Mittal. The deal failed to materialise, but the director soon found himself offered another show on Star Plus.According to sources, he will be directing one of the successful producers, Rajan Shahi's next for Star Plus. The show will feature Gautami Gadgil Kapoor and Sanjeev Seth as the lead couple.

Says a source, “We are glad to have Rohit on board. He knows his job well and will do full justice to the show. He will join the show once the story has moved to Banaras. The initial episodes have already been shot.” Rohit didn’t confirm or deny the story.
Rajan confirms, “We have always given platform to good directors and keeping with the philosophy, we have brought Rohit on board.”
