Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi has been banned for three Serie A games for aggressive conduct towards Inter Milan defender Juan Jesus.

The Italy under-21 forward was punished by the Lega Serie A for elbowing Juan Jesus during his team's 7-0 defeat at Inter on Sunday.

Berardi, who plays on loan at Sassuolo from Juventus, was shown a straight record for the action.

A statement from the Lega Serie A read: "The sporting judge punishes Berardi with a three-match ban for violent conduct in relation to an action that saw the Sassuolo player in the 59th minute elbow a rival on the neck."

The 20-year-old will miss the league games against Sampdoria, Fiorentina and Napoli but will be available for selection for Sassuolo's away game at Lazio on October 5.

Sassuolo began the campaign with a 1-1 draw against Cagliari before being demolished by Inter last weekend.

Berardi was last season's top scorer for Sassuolo with 16 goals.

AC Milan defender Daniele Bonera and Parma defender Felipe will serve one-match bans this weekend.

Both players picked up a double booking in Milan's 5-4 triumph at Parma.

Bonera will sit out Saturday's home game against Juventus while Felipe will be unavailable for Sunday's encounter at Chievo.

Genoa will be without the services of Argentinian defender Facundo Roncaglia for Sunday's home game against Lazio.

Roncaglia was sent off after picking up two yellow cards in his team's goalless result at Fiorentina on Sunday.
