Following are glimpses of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Gujarati address delivered at Gujarat BJP’s reception function at Trimandir in Adalaj today. Shri Modi spoke in Gujarati, and following glimpses are translated to English:

-BJP’s specialist is its organizational power. It is dedication of its party workers. Otherwise can someone imagine that party with two members of parliament can come to power? Today there’s a stable government in centre with full majority. General perception about full majority is that

-My short experience as PM says that full majority’s strength is not limited just to political power or easiness and functioning in parliament, government formation, decision making only. Its strength is effective beyond that in much wider level. In last three-four months I met many world leaders and spoke with open heart. What is the reason why Chinese president visits Gujarat? It’s because of a full majority verdict by 125 crore people of India. When entire world looks at India, it observes what mendet the government enjoys. And after a period of 30 years, entire world’s wait to see full majority government in India has been over, I can observe.

-I recently visited BRICS summit and met heads of Latin American countries. And it was surprising for me that their eagerness to connect to India was overwhelmingly visible.

-Elections will come and go, but whenever you elect government, don’t do a mistake of electing unstable government. Full majority strengthens India’s democracy. The nation is standing on turning point where we have wasted 10 years and we need to fill that gap. Similarly in states, BJP workers need to discuss the need of full majority which is good for nation.

-I have been a political science student, and I can observe the importance of full majority government.

-India has abundance of possibilities, capacities and opportunities. We are giving importance to ‘team India’. Unfortunately in the past when centre and states had same party governments, but it was not realized. Later there were different parties in power in centre and state, and they played politics and caused damage to nation which can not be imagined.

-My experience as a Chief Minister has convinced me that for progress of India, strong federal structure is essential. On just one pillar of Delhi, India can’t be uplifted. Whether it’s any party’s government, federal structutr has to be strenthened. We are marching ahead as a team India.

-These are the issues that couldn’t be grasped in the past, because there was no opportunity. Look at Gujarat, some haven’t understood it in twelve years. Sarvajana Sukhay Sarvajana Sukhay is main mantra.

-When small people will become big, this nation will achieve new heights. No-one was thinking about small people, and therefore nation was in poor situation. Industrialists of this country perform aarti of bank managers. They are now visiting poor people requesting them to open account. This is the vision. Banks there, poor were looted by lenders, they(the past governments) couldn’t understand this, I do.

-I have paid more visits to Kashmir compared to previous prime ministers visited their during entire tenure. It takes 1.25 hour to visit Nepal. Earlier government took 17 years to visit it. This is vision. They couldn’t see Nepal in neighborhood. We could.

-Very confidently and with strong determination, without any double mind, the government you elected is working with firm determination of Sarvajana Hitay Sarvajana Sukhay and will get success.

-Wherever I am, you are in my heart.

-Gujarat’s development journey is going ahead in same speed. When I left Gujarat, I had said that if I am in Gujarat and state is functioning well is not Modi’s success. Modi’s success is when I am not here and state is functioning well. I have heard analysis from various people that Gujarat government is working better than I was here. Gujarat was never dependent on Narendrabhai Modi or Anandiben Patel, Gujarat is doing well due to a team. This team is our strenth.

-And I had said that in public, that you gave me so much love and I am moving from here, but whenever I will go, you will feel proud.

-In every corner of Gujarat there’s excitement. People want to contribute. I said from Red Fort that there was a news item that since Modi is in power, government employees come to job on time. Now was that worth publishing as news? But they published it, because it was not happening before.

-Tomorrow Chinese president is coming here. 1400 years back Hu-en-shang came to Gujarat. Now after 1400 years another leading person from China is coming here.
