The three accused arrested by the Dindori police in connection with the rape of a 35-year-old tribal woman have been remanded to eight days in police custody, till Monday, September 22.

NASHIK: The three accused arrested by the Dindori police in connection with the rape of a 35-year-old tribal woman have been remanded to eight days in police custody, till Monday, September 22.
The three accused are Shriram Kadale (52), Lakhan Jadhav (23) and Jayawant Jadhav (29). Two minors detained in the case have been sent to a correctional home.
The victim was raped by the five at the Dindori bus stand, 25 km from the city, on the night of September 14.
The incident occurred when the woman was sleeping at the bus stand. The victim, a labourer from Surgana, had arrived at Dindori about three to four days back. According to the police, the victim had consumed liquor with Kadale and returned to the bus stand to sleep.
The accused took the woman to a secluded spot behind the bus stand and raped her at around 11.15 pm on Sunday.tnn
