Core Exploration Limited - New independent Non-Executive Director appointed(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 16 September 2014 Release date- 15092014 - Core Exploration Limited (ASX: CXO) is pleased to announce that Mr Heath Hellewell has joined the Board of Directors as a new, independent Non-Executive Director. Mr Hellewell is a geologist with over 20 years of experience and has held senior exploration positions with a number of successful mining and exploration groups including DeBeers Australia, Resolute Mining and Independence Group. Heath was part of the Independence team that identified and acquired the Tropicana project area, eventually leading to the discovery of Tropicana deposit. Most recently Heath was the co-founding Executive Director of Doray Minerals, where he was jointly responsible for the Company's discovery of the Andy Well gold deposits. In 2014, Heath was the co-winner of the prestigious 'Prospector of the Year' award, presented by the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies and prior to that Doray was named 'Gold Explorer of the Year' in 2011 by The Gold Mining Journal.
