Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai. The actor was taken to the Apollo Hospital following symtoms of food poisoning, reportedly.

New Delhi: Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai. The actor was taken to the Apollo Hospital following symtoms of food poisoning, reportedly.

According to reports, his condition is now stable and is expected to get discharged from the hospital either today evening or tomorrow. However, as of now there is no official statement from either the actor's family or any representative from the hospital.

Currently, Haasan is busy with the Tamil remake of 2013 Malyalam drama-thriller film 'Drishyam'. The actor's other film 'Uthama Villain' is all set to hit the theatres soon.

Kamal Haasan, who made his Bollywood debut with 'Ek Duje Ke Liye' has also worked in several other Hindi films including- 'Sadma', 'Raj Tilak', 'Yeh Desh' and 'Sagar'.
