Walk in memory of Peggy and Casper to support dementia

Casper was found beside the body of his owner, Peggy Mangan

This year's 'Walk for Peggy and Casper' will take place this Saturday.

The walk is to raise funds for the purchase and maintenance of a Mobile Outreach Unit. to provide a support service to people with dementia and their families.

The walk is in honour of Peggy Mangan, who had Alzheimer's, and her beloved cavalier king charles dog Casper.

The pair left their Dublin home in September last year to take their daily walk. They never returned home, and were located on September 28 in a field beside Ikea in Ballymun. Casper was alive and beside Peggy's body.

Sadly, he too passed away within two hours of being located. The route of the Walk for Peggy and Casper will follow their steps.
